Year 2011, Agni Motors and I-Vision group of industries have converted a Maruti Suzuki Alto into electric car. For this project Cedric Lynch (CTO of Agni Motors) was the Chief technical engineer and Krunal Nanavati was the project manager at Agni Motors.
Comfortably Car has achieved 400 KM distance at a top speed of 95 KMPH with one charge with parallel hybrid system, with five people in it. The claimed range of most other electric vehicles is achieved with light load and at steady very low speed on a smooth test track, not in the normal road traffic In India.
